The Calm Before the Storm

Some of you must be wondering why I privatised my blog.

I've been getting some spam mail coming from links from this blog and I decided to take it private for a while.
Next, many of you must have heard the news from my previous post that I landed myself a job, I don't wanna make any announcement yet... waiting to sign the employment contract. But a few toasts had been made already, so... hmm....

I've been combing through my stuff lately. In fact, I've moved and am staying meanwhile at Zion Road at a friend's walkup. It's a lot of charm and there're 2 cats to boot! Coming back to Rumia to stay for a week or 2 in between my stays in BKK/Paris/BKK was fine, but now that I'm going to be in SG more permanently, I require a bit more space to work, and to organise my belongings, clothes, etc. So, I'm grateful to W! In any case, R and G has been very gracious to offer a spare room once their new place at Cheng Soon is done up. By then I think I should have bought my own place, either to live in, or to rent out, will see what's the property climate then. But now is a bad time to buy...i'm just waiting for the bubble to burst.

I'm still coming by at Rumia pretty often these days, partly to visit Milo as well, hope he doesn't miss me too much. Besides moving house, I'm considering to sell my Peugeot 206. Due to the recent hike in COE prices, second hand cars are becoming hot properties. On the other hand, if I don't ever drive, that's ok I guess, but no way I'll be able to afford a car again in future.

Been also meeting up friends, new and old, I won't have much of a social life once I begin work.
On a more gourmet note, I found Echiré butter at half price!! at S$5.50 a "barette" it's even cheaper than in Paris! *hoarding instinct kicks in*........... Dabbed on some baguette from Swissbake, and a dollop of Earl Grey Tea jam (brought over in one of my boxes from Paris!) it's nostalgia.
