First day at my new place at Sanctuary House (http://www.sanctuaryhousebkk.com) taking an easy morning with some coconut flavoured yoghurt with nata de coco bits in it. Arrived 11ish pm last night, got my keys, started to unpack a little, hoping the rest of my worldly possessions in my 4 boxes will arrive soon. (2-3 weeks later).
Sunlight comes from the balcony in the morning. It gets bright pretty early, about 6am, which is good timing, knowing that I will soon start my days at 8.30am at Le Cordon Bleu Dusit (LCB).

I guess I could be living next door in the huge bungalow.

hi miss m.a.c! Thanks for dropping by, I just moved to Bangkok, Thailand, in a gentrified area behind the business district of Sathorn. It's a quiet lane, but safe, interesting to watch people going about their simple daily life, while a lane away, you have top hotels and businesses wheeling and dealing in truckloads of money. Bangkok/Thailand is definitely colorful, will post more along the way.

Lol, yeah, it's very near babylon, about 8 mins walk. I'm actually considering using the gym and pool there, since I will not be able to use (stupid) California Wow gym along Soi Convent. But nah, don't quite like the sauna anymore, it turned out kinda trashy.
Came across your blog looking for reviews of Sanctuary House, I'm coming to Bangkok next month and looking for a serviced apartment w/ good internet. They advertise 3mps adsl internet speed, did you find the internet to be that fast? Any idea what speed you were getting? Are there times where the speed drops off? I work on line trading stocks and I need a consistent connect, especially 9pm-3am.

Hello Alan, wow, i don't know how you manage to find this old post! Ok, to answer your question. I've had no problems with the connection, it's stable and fast enough for me, but i can't tell if it's really 3mps. Very seldom (i would say once/2months maybe?) does the connection fail, but it's up again by the next morning, so, i can't tell how it was resolved. In any case, Khun Amm is very responsive and helpful, you can call him if any trouble, (although he's not always around in the building.) Good luck with your stay here!
