It's official: it's getting really hot in BKK, I can't wait till it gets to April, what, 40ish?
While I only used the aircon sparingly last few months, recently, I have to have it on every night, or I'll start to sweat in my room, doing nothing!! Even the fan at its max does little to help.
Good thing about warm weather though, the 'sui mei' started blooming, sending a lovely cool fragrance into the warm night. My lotuses bloomed. The other is a new orchid I bought.
Went to the plant market on Thurs morn with Rus who visited over the last few days. He spent a small fortune, and amazingly he managed to bring all of it back home safely!

Yeah! You get bored with the usual vandas and dendrobiums on sale at JM or Far East in SG. There is really quite a variety on sale here! It's not expensive at all, and very easy to bring back. Come, come! I'll go with you guys! I wish I can buy more, but I have to restrain myself....
We've been frequenting the orchid bazaar at the Botanic Gardens on the 1st Sunday of the month. TBH gets pretty good stuff.
I wanted to just go up to BKK alone to visit you and probably take a weekend trip to some interesting place. But TBH wants to tag along to see/buy orchids.

Yes, he did!! I wouldn't advise anyone else to try, but Rus is a plant 'commando'! He came, he saw, he conquered, LOL, almost... except that passiflora and pitcher, which I will attempt to bring back on my next trip back to SG.
