Since I have a few days to spare, I decided to take up Thai massage at Wat Po. I'll leave you to read up more on Thai massage. I always enjoyed having a (relatively) cheap Thai massage at 250/hr about once a week, it helps to relax the body after spending 5 days in the kitchen. But I never knew it was so tough on the masseur(se)! Most of the time, you're on your knees, and your thumbs get really sore from pressing along the 'energy lines'. The sequence of steps are important as well, and knowing your own body postures to correctly carry out the massage. Maybe a good thing that can come out of this is that perhaps I can work part time as a (totally legit!) masseur while waiting for a job in Paris.
Speaking of work, it's only about 2 weeks since I've left the kitchen, but I'm already getting itchy... I don't know how I will be able to take a break once I start work. Not that they will not allow, but will I miss the kitchen too much to take an extended break?
It's sad to break down your apartment. I still remember my earlier days here, shopping for toiletries, getting ready for life here. I hope the next tenant will enjoy this apartment as much as I did.
