Sometimes, I still get dreams of driving my ex-boss's Alfa Romeo 156 tearing down the N-S highway, rushing to get back to SG as the sun sets. Blasting music and pinching myself to stay awake at the wheel.
And I would join Rus for a beer or dinner, or both, around China Square Central, Kazbar, Botan, Pei Xing bakcho mee, Sushi Tei.... That was how mid-week used to be.
Sometimes I day dream of sitting in Scruffy Murphy's watching the sea and the sky get dark, feeling a little fuzzy, thinking of the days of our secondary school BBQ at East Coast. Anything was fun, and we were easily amused. Happiness was owning another OP t-shirt.
I day dream about spending lazy Saturday afternoons browsing in the then-MPH, and the National Library. I day dream that I suddenly hear the shrill honk of a baby elephant below my apartment, who comes around with his mahout to ask for food, as was the case of my apartment in BKK.
Right now, I should be getting into my real dreams, good night!
(It's funny that I discovered a group on FB, "I don't sleep enough because I stay up for no reason"!)
