Since I was back, been catching up with some friends, and thinking of ways to cook up all the bounty of produce I bought from Florence and Siena. I know, as if I can't get enough of it in Italy. But the pasta is really really good, I've never tasted better ones outside Italy. But 1 full week in Italy, Tuscany/Florence being a gastronomic region notwithstanding, having Italians meals (not just pasta, but starters, meats, seafood, pizza, risottos too) 24hrs a day, made me crave for other cuisines. I guess that's the difference when in a world capital like in Paris, you can find good cuisine of every type if you so crave for it. Italy does what it does best, and I have to suck it up! (Maybe Rome or Milan might be more international, I don't know.)
And since I am back, I stocked up groceries, cleared out a few admin stuff, made 'pailles aux framboises' for my flatmate who had been craving for them since he tried it during my school term in LCB in Bangkok. I've worked out a bit, preparing for my IPPT, got a good back and foot massage for all my aching muscles walking along cobbled streets, and arranging for another trip in Thailand before I start work.
At the same time, I've been hunting for a property. My parents have been nagging non-stop to get a place of my own, and I agree with them. But I need to find something I like, and at the same time, afford. Their idea is just to get any HDB. Seeing S's place, I think I would like a 999 yr shophouse unit (just the residential unit above, not the shop itself). But these places are hard to come by.
Talk more later.

you should just send this to eric. Haha.
Some time ago, I had a quick talk to E. before, abt 1-2 things I mentioned above. He said he'll see to it. C tried to leave us alone when E is in, but not always the case, esp if E is not ard. I don't think they can do much but talk to C more, because it won't be easy trying to get another replacement, the work permit, for him to be in a foreign and faraway place from europe, the expat package to offer him...etc.
I didn't want to make it a personal thing for leaving as well. It doesn't look good, I think, though it is a part of my reason to do so. Other reasons are the business model, the staff welfare, some aspects abt the food, and the tricky thing about working one method or another depending on who's watching at that time.
