Last weekend, couple of friends and I headed west to Kanchanaburi province (really cold in the mornings in the mountains!) all the way to the Three Pagoda Pass, frontier town with Myammar. The Myammese checkpoint was closed, but we managed to sneak behind a shop and got in illegally anyway! Thrilling, hehe.
We visited a home for the children along the way. This home takes in orphans from the area, who often has no citizenship, because they have escaped Myammar and Thailand does not recognise them. We brought them some toys, food, education supplies. They put up a show, dance, and games for us - very happy to see visitors.
