Job search

It's approximately 1 year since I'd last drawn a pay cheque. Friends have been generous, but it's not a situation I see myself indefinitely. Part of the reason why I'm here, is to get that experience that counts, find out what real ingredients should taste like, what people are putting on their menus, windows, and to run a place like clockwork. Good that my internship at Auguste has surfaced, but they are prob not looking to hire. This week, I've been making a few cold calls (actually, I should define, calling at their doorstep in cold autumn Paris, as what should be a real 'cold call'), nothing is sure yet, they took a copy of CV and guess will have to wait for a call. There's the national agency for jobsearch too.

After my return to Paris in Jan10, I will prob give myself another 3-4 months, maybe meanwhile get a pastry experience too. By then, I will have to consider cheaper pastures!
