I got a shock when I was walking down this morning to bring down my laundry.
But to be fair, it wasn't a rat you were thinking of. This rat is golden beige in color, not afraid of humans, and seems stunned and lost. It tried to follow me. It's almost like a giant hamster. On my way back, I did some market shopping, I gave it some bread, carrot and celery ends, it took from my hands and nibbled hungrily. I was very tempted to keep it!
On the down side, I caught a bad cold this week, must be the weather, but it was not easy trying to work the kitchen with that. No, I blew my nose into paper, and washed my hands, and coughed away from food. I took maximum rest on my off day today.
Where's a 250baht thai massage when you needed one....?

Doesn't it remind you of a movie ?
a rat, a cook...
......in Paris.......nooooo!! :-)
and of course, some Ratatouille
i'm a little sad, cos' when I'm back from work tonite, i read a notice put up by the caretaker of the building, saying that we should keep common space clean, and not feed rats in the staircase. (ok, little morsels of raw veg isn't that bad!) That means, she prob saw the rat and chased it out into the streets, and it's prob living among wild rats now. :-(
