
Made this for lunch today, basmati rice pilaf,
jamon serrano, and mild green peppers sauteed in olive oil and coarse salt. And a glass of Cotes du Ventoux!
This was the first meal I made for myself at home at the old place in 15e (after 1 month of arriving in Paris!), classic Amatriciana : lardons and tomato onion sauce, with fresh basil and sprinkling of parmesan cheese.

There's a small area in Paris with a concerntration of Japanese food and commerce, a small "Japan town" (Rue St Anne, metro: Pyramides), it was raining and cold, I eyed this very crowded small
ramen restaurant, decided to plonk myself on the bar and ordered a hot steaming
ramen with
gyoza. It was instant gratification!!!
