Nuit Blanche, Paris 2009

Last night was Nuit Blanche in Paris. In a nutshell, it is an all-night arts festival. Throngs of people mingled around freely soaking in the atmosphere of lights and sounds events happening at different pockets in Paris throughout the whole night. 2 metro lines run 24hrs, as well as serveral bus lines.

It is true that summer is over. The night is chilly, I needed a scarf. Cafe terraces on the sidewalks now boast of heating to attract customers. Brown chestnut leaves on the pavement, and your eyes begin to tear a little at the dry air.

Taken with my phone camera, the pictures are not very good, but you get the idea.

I didn't stay up so late. Came back to my apartment after 2a.m, had a glass of good Bourgueil red wine, read some news, and had a good sleep I haven't had in weeks.
