Strolling in Sunny Paris II

Another sunny weekend, although the temperature has dropped, it's fantastic to be out! The sky is that blue, no filter used!

Details of the buildings at the Louvre.

A short walk away, you'll reach Palais Royal, with a formal garden. Beautiful fountain in the middle, and the rose bushes are still blooming.. I'm very tempted to get a pot for myself! There is a small canon (length: abt 20cm! according to my estimate), which fires a shot to announce noon since 1786!!

The Sorbonne University. Did I tell you when I finished uni in SG, I wanted to come here to study 1 year of French language and culture? I was already admitted, and was preparing my move. A job came along, and the rest is history. Now that I'm back here again.. and will try to stay 1 year too. Life works in strange ways.

Another view of Notre Dame, from the Latin Quarter.

An interesting entrance to the métro! No, it's not a temporary installation art!

This building you see below, is prob the only skyscraper in Paris... some call it a monstrosity. Montparnasse tower is in the 14e arrondisement, and it has a strange pizazz around it, the roads are wide, there're some theatres at each corner in the neighbourhood, it feels more North American than European. It was on way to the reach Chapon chocolate in Rue du Bac... hmm!! One of the best chocolate (and one of the most expensive!) in Paris! Very interesting flavors... basil ganache chocolate!! Come visit me, I'll take you there!
